University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff- Regulatory Science Center of Excellence
Welcome to the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Regulatory Science Center of Excellence graduate website! The Center is housed in the UAPB Department of Agriculture and is dedicated to assisting government agencies (especially local government) and private industry with issues related to environmental, agricultural and industrial regulatory policy and science. The UAPB Regulatory Science Program has been designated as a Center of Excellence by the Marketing and Regulatory Science Programs of the United States Department of Agriculture. The Regulatory Science Center, in conjunction with the Department of Agriculture, offers a graduate program in agricultural regulations. The program is designed to produce highly skilled, multi-disciplinary graduates for positions in regulatory science and related areas of research. A graduate degree in agricultural regulations prepares students for the growing number of job opportunities with regulatory agencies, such as the Department of Homeland Security, Food and Drug Administration and Arkansas State Plant Board, and in science related research fields such as biotechnology, microbiology and food safety. The graduate program prepares graduates to make meaningful contributions to our nation’s agricultural and homeland security.
Plan to visit UAPB and the Regulatory Science Center and interact with our graduate faculty and staff. We appreciate your interest in our graduate program.
Sincerely,
Edmund R. Buckner, Ph.D.
